Montage Studio Workshop


For the past week, I have been participating in a PhotoShop (PSE) digital workshop and the focus was on blending. I have always had a problem when combining two photos or elements leaving an unwanted line. We learned how to correct this with blending techniques along with so many other options using the blending tools. The theme for the first week was to tell a story using a "widows walk" in our digital piece. For those of you who have never lived near the ocean or ventured out in that direction, a widows walk is a feature usually at the top of a home where the woman would view the open waters looking for the return of her husband who has traveled afar to fish or whatever. The second part of the week was to create a story using our own theme. And the last treat was a special technique called "trapping" where you place a transparent element between two layers. Below are my takes for the first week:
